AHS students show off their FTFHL apparel.
With the help of a few friends, AHS graduate Ashton Towner launched his own Christian clothing brand in October 2024. The company is called “FTHFL,” and is an online store run by both high school students and alumni.
Towner said he came up with the idea in April 2024, and wasn’t too sure about the whole thing to begin with.
“At first, I didn’t think much about whether it would succeed,” Towner said. “But as I grew in my faith, I realized it wasn’t just an idea, but a calling God put on my heart.”
He said that after being encouraged by positive feedback, he gathered some friends to test the products and take pictures.
“The main goal is to spread God’s love and heart for people through clothing,” senior and FTHFL representative Ethan Bartlett said. “We oftentimes will wear the cross necklace and wear all these things, but don’t really mean it. The idea of FTHFL is to be set apart.”
Another representative, senior Cienna Feldman said she believed the brand was more than just expressing a belief, but sharing it too.
“It’s to let people know that it’s not just yourself that can spread the Gospel, you can use what you wear,” Feldman said. “It doesn’t have to be just your voice, you can use other things.”
Towner uses a Bible verse to further explain.
“1 John 2:6 says, ‘Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did,” Towner said. “Simply put, our goal is to lead people to Christ, to plant the seed, water it, and trust Him to bring the growth daily.”
Feldman said that the brand is more than just a clothing line.
“I think that the brand, FTHFL, is a responsibility,” Feldman said. “It’s not just something that you’re wearing. But if you are wearing the clothes, that means you need to be sure that you’re representing Christ through your actions as well.”
Towner explains where to find their information on social media, and also how they get the word out about their brand.
“We’re currently on Instagram and TikTok @fthfl.apparel,” Towner said. “We’ve put very little money into paid marketing such as ads and we rely almost entirely on organic growth and word of mouth.”
He also said that anyone can get a 20% discount on their website, fthfl.apparel, if they use code AZLE20, and anyone can reach out to them to learn more about God’s word.
“If you would like to learn more about Jesus and how you can steward a relationship with Him, then feel free to reach out to us on social media,” Towner said.
