Country artist Megan Moroney released three new songs on Oct. 4 during the midst of her tour, which have become a new addition to her album “Am I Okay?” The album was released last summer, Jul. 12, with 14 tracks before this trio of songs were added.

The first of the trio, “Break it Right Back,” is the perfect anthem for anyone who has had someone bait and switch them during a relationship. It’s about the reality of what you believed to be true about the relationship and what was said compared to what really was.

“Bless Your Heart” is the sister song to “I’m Not Pretty” from Moroney’s previous album, “Lucky,” which was released in 2023. “Bless Your Heart” reaches out to all of her haters, which ties to that sister song.

The connection between the first track from the album, “Am I Okay?” to the new track “I’ll Be Fine” has a sad backstory. Her thought process with “Am I Okay” was the excitement of meeting someone new. But not even a day later her “6’2 dream heaven-sent” wasn’t so “heaven-sent” and ended up in a breakup. This eventually inspired the last song of the trio, “I’ll Be Fine.” Anyone can relate to this bittersweet and brutally honest song. It’s how messy life can be but it’ll all be just fine in the end as always.

From a personal perspective, this trio of songs is amazing. “Break It Right Back” is probably my favorite because it’s a song that anyone can make personal connections to, and most people have experiences that can tie it all together and make it mean something unique to them.

Overall, this trio of songs, each one with a sister song is forever enjoyable and easily replayable. They are songs that are easy to connect to because everyone can listen to and relate to them one way or another.
