Coach Epps has been my teacher and coach throughout my entire high school career. When I moved to Azle freshman year, Coach Epps helped me integrate into the community by inviting me to be the swim team’s manager. He helped me feel seen and important as a new kid in a tight-knit community that I was new to. My senior year, he wrote a recommendation letter for my dream college, which helped me get accepted into my biology major, the same class he taught me my freshman year.

Coach Epps builds long-lasting relationships with his students and treats them all with friendliness and kindness, no matter who they are and where they come from. He brings humor into every conversation and doesn’t let his students have a bad day.

Coach Epps is very passionate about coaching. He puts 110% of himself into his job. I appreciate his support throughout my high school career, and I appreciate how he supports all of his other students.
