My Favorite Head Tennis Coach:

Dear Coach Conner Mason, CCM for short, I would like to start by saying thank you for everything you have done for me and the rest of the team. I am saying this for everyone you have coached at Azle and the kids you have taught here, too.

You have made tennis ten times more enjoyable these past two years, and I always look forward to practice now. I didn’t think I would make it to my senior year, but I have found my happiness and passion with the tennis team. I found a family that I can laugh and play around with because you have made it such a warm environment.

You have taught me a lot in just two short years. You’ve taught me how to better my serves and my volleys. You have taught me how to work with a team, and you’ve taught me what passion means. I’m grateful that you got the opportunity to coach in a small town such as Azle in this big state.

I will always remember team dinners and the overnight tournaments with the team because they are the happiest memories of my life, and I would like to thank you for making those memories happen.

I wouldn’t know what it is like to be a head coach and a teacher at the same time, or what it is like to put up with the team’s tomfoolery, but I am very glad you aren’t tired of us yet. I will stand by my position of needing more fields and farmers than parking lots, despite what you say about needing more parking lots.

I might be tough to please, but you are the one who truly knows what is best for me and how I play. Thank you so much for everything you do for me and the team. I cannot wait to continue to play for you next year and grow stronger, and to become better for myself and the team.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Trammell
