The Sting Appreciates Mrs. Fuller (Again!)

The amazing Ms. Fuller doing what she does best
The amazing Ms. Fuller doing what she does best

Mrs. Fuller is the embodiment of what a teacher should be. She is always smiling and welcomes all of her students into the classroom each morning. Her first priority is always making sure we understand the material, which is more important to her than the grade we make. After teaching, she walks around the classroom and checks in with all of her students individually, making sure we have no questions or need any help. I appreciated this so much when I had her my freshman year because I was too shy to speak out loud during class.

After my freshman year, she continued to support me and answer any questions I had, regardless of the relevance, even though I was no longer her student. She helped me with everything, including my English work, scholarships and job applications. She wrote a recommendation letter for my dream college, which helped me get accepted. She never said no to anything I needed help with, and she is part of why I have succeeded as much as I have.

Mrs. Fuller is someone whose passion and care mean more to her than any amount of money she could make. She works tirelessly to grade on time and offers feedback for every assignment. She is kind, thoughtful and intentional with everything she does. She has impacted my high school career the most and offered me the support I really needed as a freshman who just moved to Azle. She made me feel comfortable in this new environment where I knew nobody.

Now, I have the honor to say that I have her again as a senior. She deserves every bit of recognition for her work and dedication. I have changed and grown a lot over the 3 years between my freshman and senior year, and she still never failed to be everything I needed.
