As Teacher Appreciation Week reminds us to reflect on the impact of incredible educators, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to my AP Calculus teacher, Rachel Bevan.
Mrs. Bevan, your dedication to teaching such a challenging subject with clarity, patience and enthusiasm has made a lasting impression. Despite being a college professor and the owner of a petting zoo, you make plenty of time to help all of your students.
Whether it be from your engaging lessons to the extra help you provide during tutorials, your commitment has never gone unnoticed.
It’s clear that you care deeply about your students’ success. You made calculus less intimidating and even enjoyable, which is no small feat.
Over this year, I have enjoyed having you as my teacher and your willingness to help your students, especially if we have a hard time understanding the material.
Thank you for pushing all of your students to be better, for believing in our potential, and for being so understanding toward us. You’ve made a difference, and I'm truly grateful.
