Dear Mrs. Stroud,

Entering high school, it was hard coming out of my shell and talking to other people to make friends. I spent most of my time with my sister, and I followed her around all the time. One day, my sister introduced me to you, and ever since that day, you have become someone I can truly count on and talk to.

Whenever I was stressed, upset or anxious about anything, you would be the first person I would come to. You have taught me so many things, and I will carry them with me forever. I can not wait to tell my future family about that one librarian who changed my life and helped me get through high school.

Being able to see you grow over the years as a person and watching you find your passion for helping others is a blessing and has inspired me to chase my dreams. You’re dedicated, hard-working and committed to your work and helping others, and I strive to be like that when I get older.

From all the library aide parties you have hosted to the Nicolas Cage Sonic the Hedgehog memes hung around the library, all those memories will be cherished by me and many others. I hope I didn’t scare you away with all the times I would come into the library to bombard you with my problems.

I am happy to say that I am probably not the only kid who feels like this, and that you have impacted their life in some way, which speaks volumes about the type of person you truly are.

I will miss you so much after high school, and I hope you accomplish everything you put your mind and heart into. Thank you for making me into the person I am today.

Love,

Rebecca Trammell
