As we continue to ring in the new year, sneakerheads all around the world are already preparing for the sneakers that 2022 will bring. From Adidas to Nike, plenty of sneakers are set to release and create anticipation, as well as those that are dropping without warning. Here are some of the most hyped sneaker releases coming in 2022.

Despite his recent ASTROWORLD Fest controversy, rapper Travis Scott is still set to have plenty more collaborative releases with Nike, one of which being the Nike Air Max 1. This sneaker was initially set to release in late December, but was postponed until a later date likely due to the ASTROWORLD incident. This sneaker is a nice fresh take on a classic silhouette in the Air Max 1 with its “Baroque Brown” colorway. Scott’s classic backwards Swoosh is implemented in the shoe, as well as is a unique pattern across the sneaker and laces.

Kanye West and Adidas are set to release a new colorway of a newer Yeezy silhouette on February 14th known as the Yeezy 350 V2 CMPCT “Slate Red.” This new variation of the Yeezy 350 V2 CMPCT is entirely red, except for the material underneath the knit. The ankle of the shoe almost looks like it’s intended to work as a sock; something different from the typical 350 V2 model. This is set to retail at $230 on the CONFIRMED app and yeezysupply.com.

Another shoe brand set to make a larger than normal splash on the sneaker market this year is Reebok. Reebok is set to re-release Allen Iverson’s iconic “The Question Mid” basketball shoe in the “Blue Toe” colorway. This colorway was last released in 2016, and is currently reselling for up to triple its retail value, $160. These sneakers are expected to release on March 12th via Reebok.com.

Rounding off this list is a brand new colorway of a classic silhouette, the Jordan 1 High OG. The J’s are getting their own version of the signature Nike “Volt” colorway. These sneakers have a lime green overlay with a white toebox, midsole, and part of the upper. The black swoosh completes the contrast on the shoe, which is set to retail at $170 on June 11th.
These are just a few of the already announced releases of 2022 that are creating hype among the sneaker community already, and there are certainly more to be announced as their release dates approach.
