Pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are rumored to be dating after Kelce was spotted at Swift’s eras tour concert in Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium on July 8. Later, Kelce’s mother Donna Kelce was pictured at the Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game with Swift on Sept. 24. After hearing rumors flying around, Kelce has spoken on the situation on his podcast “New Heights,” with his older brother Jason Kelce.
Kelce’s family has shared little to no information about the two with media sources. However, many have made comments such as NFL officials incorporating Swift’s song lyrics into Chiefs’ game commentary. Such as when NFL announcer Ian Eagle called a play, saying, “Kelce finds a ‘blank space’ for the score!”
Sept. 21, Kelce guest starred on “The Pat McAfee Show,” where he revealed he invited Swift to his game to watch him play. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead,’” he said. “We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Kelce has been open and spoken out about his potential relationship. On the show, he said, “I think it’s–right now–it’s like that old game in school called ‘Telephone,’ where everybody is just whispering in each other’s ear, just hearing random stuff.”
On Oct.14, they were seen holding hands on their way to the post-show bash at Catch Steak in New York City after the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live. In a way confirmed this potential relationship.
After Swift’s film premiere in Los Angeles Oct. 12 she made her way back to Kansas City to watch Kelce’s Thursday night football game against the Denver Broncos. Once again seen in the family suite with Kelce’s mother.
Rania Aniftos wrote in “Billboard,” “Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium must be starting to feel awfully familiar to Swift, who showed up there in support of Kelce and his team again on Oct. 22 for the Chiefs-Chargers game.” At the game, she was seen representing the Chiefs with a sweatshirt and wearing a friendship bracelet with an 87 in honor of Kelce.
Finally, on Oct. 23, a photo of Taylor kissing Travis’ cheek surfaced on Instagram courtesy of Chariah Gordon, girlfriend of Chiefs’ wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Kelce has managed to keep private about his personal relationship with Swift regardless of the popularity they’ve received.
