From the start, administrator Stace Bowen has always found Azle to be his home. He was born and raised here, and even played baseball at the high school and later got his first coaching and teaching job here.
“What inspired me really has always been this community and the Azle staff,” Bowen said. “I’ve always liked the outlook on education and working with students.”
As Bowen grew up here, he’s made many life-long friends and memories along the way. But it wasn’t until his senior year that he realized what an influence and effect it all really had on him.
“I remember my graduation and looking back,” Bowen said. “The help I got along the way and the people who impacted me really helped form the person I am today.”
Bowen’s path took him all over the metroplex. He moved between school districts throughout his teaching and coaching career. Most recently, he ended up in Keller, where he became an administrator. But soon enough, he realized Azle was where he was meant to be.
“Well, it’s my hometown,” Bowen said. “I’ve lived here the entire time I worked in other districts, so this is home. It’s like fresh air being back home again”
