Science has never been my favorite subject, nor has math. I’m not good at it, and I always end up not doing it all the way or taking the easy way out. When I first saw chemistry on my schedule for sophomore year, I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy it. That was until I met Coach Eubanks.
Coach Eubanks is the type of coach that you can’t not love. He’s funny, very laidback, and makes sure his students know what they’re doing, even if he is busy with baseball things. If you take even a moment to listen to what he’s saying, you’ll understand it in seconds. After struggling with both math and science and being terrified when I had to take a class that’s a mix of both, Coach Eubanks has made it so much easier.
He’s the type of person who is very transparent. He lets us know when anything is going into the gradebook, gives us time to actually complete it, and takes work you had previously missed out on. He’s extremely funny, and I look forward to 6th period every day. I’m definitely going to miss his little sayings and his jokes about only having a job because of his love for his dog.
Since Coach Eubanks won’t be returning next year, I think he deserves a little extra appreciation. While I don’t have him as a coach, I’m sure his baseball students can say the same about him. I’m so grateful I was put into his class, and he’s certainly a teacher I won’t ever forget.
