Since the emergence of a COVID world, staying a safe distance away from people has become the new norm. With the increasing number of cases, going to places like movie theaters, although they’re open, are not a very good place to try and stay safe. Here are some safer alternatives to snuggle up and watch a good movie while also staying safe.
Firstly, just stay home! Things like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and many illegal sites (please do not use illegal sites to download movies),etc. are some ways to watch movies. . Although these sites don’t have the greatest movie selection, they still have some wonderful movies and some hidden gems. You get an array of movies to choose from, all in the comfort of your own home. Just pick a movie, get some popcorn, some blankets, and snuggle up and get ready for a movie night. And if you aren’t feeling any movies, you could always binge a TV show.
Next, and my personal favorite, a drive-in movie theater. A drive-in theater is basically like a normal movie theater, except you’re in your car. The one nearest to us is the Coyote Drive-In Theater. It’s easy to do. Order tickets online, show up before the movie starts, park your car, and tune into the radio station. Although the Coyote Drive-In doesn’t allow outside food, it’s pretty easy to hide. Bring blankets, pillow, food, drink, and basically anything you need to be comfortable. You get to be separated from others and have privacy within your car, and you can just relax and enjoy the movie.
With everything that’s going on in the world, it’s hard to go out and have a good time watching a movie while being safe. However, with online sites, like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, and drive-in movie theaters, people can enjoy a good movie all while staying safe and maintaining social distance.
