Marvel’s First-Ever Animated Series: What If..?
Marvel Studios’ first-ever animated series “What If…?’ released on August 11, 2021, it consists of 9 episodes that were released every Wednesday for the last nine weeks, streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. The animated series will be showing endless possibilities, where a single choice can branch into infinite realities, having Marvel fans pondering the question “What If…?”

The series “What If…?” has expanded the Marvel Cinematic Universe, premiering on August 11, 2021, and concluding on October 6, 2021.

Jeffrey Wright is the voice actor of the main character Uatu the Watcher, a new addition to the MCU who narrates the series. One of the first appearances of The Watchers was in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, discussing stories around Stan Lee and suddenly being interrupted by a spaceship (The Quadrant). According to comics, The Watchers are known to be the oldest species in the universe, committed to watching over the multiverse, swearing an oath to observe events that may unfold, but never interfere.

Briefly, each episode of the series follows The Watcher as he explores different universes similar to the worlds we have seen in previous MCU titles, except for one main difference: it re-imagines major characters and events.

The first episode is shown on an alternate timeline where Peggy received the super-soldier serum made by Dr. Abraham Erskine instead of Steve Rogers, enhancing the human body and mind, making Peggy the Super Soldier. “The name’s Captain Carter.” Margaret Carter or better known as Peggy, is how she introduces herself in the trailer.

What’s next for Marvel? Marvel Studios is introducing a new team of Super Heroes Eternal on November 5, 2021. The new team is ancient beings living in secret for thousands of years on Earth.
