Originally from Midlothian, Aubry Mazza is a first-year math teacher, specifically teaching Algebra I and Geometry.
Her students have told her she has “black cat energy.” meaning she has an air of mystique and intelligence.
Reflecting on her initial weeks at Azle, Mazza shared that the experience was quite different from what she anticipated.
“I was expecting I to be really like, cookie cutter, the kind of teachers and classrooms you see on TV,” Mazza said.
Not to say it has been bad, of course. Outside the classroom, Mazza is an avid reader with three kids. When it comes to her books she particularly enjoys romance novels, with the occasional Thriller.
