This year, AHS welcomes Jennifer LaHue as a new biology teacher in the recently built science wing. Her hometown has always been Azle. She is also happily married and has two sons named Jackson and Jase.
“A defining moment I would have to say is the birth of my children,” LaHue said.
Though she is not new to teaching science or teaching at Azle ISD, she gets a new perspective of teaching in a high school.
“It’s been great,” LaHue said. “I really enjoyed learning the new biology and then also working with ninth graders, which were my COVID babies, and so I know about a third of them, and I get to see them again.”
LaHue is thrilled to be able to see her students again from her previous science teaching job here at The Rock Elementary.

I had Miss LaHue in 5th grade, and I just wanted to know if she was doing well.
