With the holiday season approaching, everyone just wants to cozy up with a warm cup of hot chocolate and watch some iconic Christmas movies. Sitting on the couch with the tree wrapped in beautiful lights — it’s the perfect setting for a movie. With a wide range of movies, there’s a film for anyone.

Classics like “Home Alone” and “The Grinch” are on my must-watch list for the holiday season. After watching the first two “Home Alone” movies with my mom, any movies after those honestly suck. “The Grinch” with Jim Carrey of course is one of the best Christmas movies I’ve ever seen and there’s no doubt about that.

Another classic holiday movie I like is “Barbie In a Christmas Carol,” watching this movie as a little girl growing up was a staple in my childhood. I will always have a special place in my heart for this film and will for sure be showing it to my future kids.

New movies which include “Candy Cane Lane,” “Best. Christmas. Ever.” and “Dashing Through The Snow” are currently on my watch list and can all be found on various streaming services. The one I’m most interested in is “Candy Cane Lane,” starring Eddie Murphy. This movie is about a man who makes a deal with an elf, who casts a spell bringing the 12 days of Christmas to life.

Now the classic cheesy Christmas rom-coms…The latest one I’ve seen is “Holidate,” and this movie, I seriously could have told you how it ended before it even started. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t a terrible movie, but it was definitely predictable. If you’re into any of those Hallmark-type films this one is a must-watch.

Christmas films are my favorite tradition of the holiday season. Every Christmas film that I’ve seen is a memorable moment in my life, no matter if it’s who I watched it with, what the theme of the story was, or even if the movie was so bad, I still remember it. I will be continuing this tradition with my family and friends and hosting Christmas movie nights!
