Walking into class every day, seeing her smiling, waiting for all of her students to come into class, and probably cracking a joke here and there makes me feel like floral design and small animal management teacher Courtney Weeks is a teacher who actually cares about her students.
Teacher Appreciation Week is a great opportunity for me to share a few words about one of my favorite teachers this year, Ms. Weeks. She can turn almost anyone having a bad day into a little ray of sunshine just by her positive energy she brings into the classroom.
Although this is my only year I’ll have Ms. Weeks it has been an amazing year having her as a teacher. Making arrangements in her class has sparked an interest in working in the floral industry after high school. Having a teacher who can make your last high school year an experience, just proves how teachers can make an impact on their students’ lives.
