Mrs. Cowan is Sulfur Uranium Phosperpous EibRum

Science teacher of 7 years, Amanda Cowan is a teacher, leader and role model, and a proud member of the Azle High School staff. Cowan currently teaches honors chemistry, previously teaching regular chemistry as well.

I had Mrs. Cowan last year as my honors chemistry teacher and she taught me so much about chemistry and even inspired me to take OnRamps Chemistry this year.

I am someone who has to have lessons broken down to learn anything, and she did an amazing job of breaking down and explaining whatever subject we were learning in a way I could understand.

As well as being an amazing teacher, she made the learning environment fun to be a part of, and she helped me realize how much I truly enjoy chemistry, even when it’s difficult.
Outside of her school life, Mrs. Cowan is a mom of two, and previously a cheer coach. She works hard being a multitasking wife, mom and teacher. A true superstar.

I want to thank Mrs. Cowan for being such a good educator, teaching me so much about chemistry, igniting my curiosity, helping me find something I enjoy, and always being there for me and her other students.
