Annika Birkeland

Annika Birkeland, Managing Editor

Annika is a senior who has been on the newspaper staff for 2 years. She joined newspaper after finding a very strong passion for writing. She loves the people and the community of The Sting. She is the managing editor and says, “Editing is awkward at first, but once you get the groove, it’s fun to go and look through the stories.” Other than the newspaper, she is in ASL Club, UIL Academics, Choir, NHS, and SAVE. Her dislikes are bread and nuts because she has an allergy to them. This year, she is looking forward to writing good stories and taking amazing pictures.
