Disney Plus

Grace Walsh, Staff writer and sports editor

Disney Plus came out on Nov. 12. Mostly, the whole world is freaking out about this new app. Disney Plus is just like Netflix but with every Disney show or movie, anyone could want.

They have all the old throwback shows on there like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Jessie. I think Hannah Montana was such an iconic show because it gave a good representation of a teenage girl going through high school. The majority of kids watched Disney Channel growing up so to have all the shows on one app is a great way for teenagers to feel like it’s 2009 again.

Disney Plus also includes Marvel which is not only made for kids but adults too. Personally, I don’t get the hype of Marvel movies but I know a lot of people obsess over it. Some movies they put on the app are Avengers Endgame, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Iron Man 1, 2 and 3. Marvel is very popular around the world and I think everyone is excited that so many of the movies are on the app.

Star Wars

Star Wars has been around for a pretty long time. The first movie was released in 1977. Almost everyone has at least seen one Star Wars movie throughout their life. I am that one percent of people that have never seen this Sci-Fi wonder. Star Wars is a worldwide series that everyone around the world can enjoy.

National Geographic

National Geographic is a channel on TV that shows you all about people, places, and events in our world. I used to watch this channel on TV all the time when I was little and now I know random facts about the most bizarre animals. This is a very educational channel and I find it very interesting.

Making Disney Plus was a very good idea. Everyone enjoys the app and it feels good to be able to watch old shows from my childhood. They have a lot of channels on the app which makes it already 100% better than Netflix or Hulu.
