Teacher Appreciation Week is an opportunity for students to recognize and be grateful for all that our teachers have done for us. This week, there is one teacher in particular that I am thinking of and want to show my appreciation for, and that is Mr. Rider.

Mr. Rider is a CTE teacher and licensed physical therapist assistant who is responsible for teaching Medical Terminology, Principles of Health Science, and Health Science Clinicals. He is also one of the leaders of the club HOSA, which is an organization for students who wish to pursue a career in the medical field.

For students like myself who dream of becoming a health professional one day, Mr. Rider is an incredible help. He puts in a tremendous amount of effort to not only make his classes beneficial and informative but also fun and enjoyable. I can proudly say that out of all the classes I’ve taken in my school career so far, Mr. Rider’s have been my favorite.

With this, Mr. Rider genuinely cares for each and every one of his students. He is constantly looking out for us and does whatever he can to help us succeed. Every day he shows us that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to, as long as we put in the work to get there.

Many students have teachers that they remember far into the future, and are able to credit for helping them achieve their dreams. I believe that Mr. Rider will act as this teacher for me one day, and for many of my other classmates as well.

During this week, be sure to acknowledge all that your teachers have done for you, and be appreciative of their hard work. Teachers pave the way to success for each and every one of us, so the least we could do is tell them “thank you!”
