Singer SZA has officially started her North American tour, the first tour date was Feb. 21 and she will conclude her tour on March 22. She is performing songs from her latest album SOS and one of her older albums Ctrl, with special guest Omar Apollo.

Apollo sang about 7 songs including his most popular song, “Evergreen.” He didn’t have much of a set; it was just a backdrop with color visuals.

SZA performed for about an hour and a half, singing her greatest hits from all her albums. Fans were so excited and couldn’t stop screaming with excitement. She even floated on a raft above the crowd throwing petals from the raft.

There was a water theme and many visuals of a boat and water. The sounds of water and rain helped capture the effect of her being on the boat.

I was able to sit in a suite at American Airlines which was an experience that I will never forget. It was a little private area, so I was not stuck behind people much taller than me.

The merch ranged from $35 – $95 dollars and included hats, t-shirts, hoodies and a jersey-style long-sleeve shirt, which I bought.

Overall, I was happy to have the opportunity to see her as my first concert ever. I hope to attend more concerts from my favorite artists. I am currently trying to score some tickets to see Taylor Swift!
