Second is the Best

The Azle women soccer team entered into a Fall League along with Haltom, Fossil Ridge, North Side, Birdville, and Diamond Hill-Jarvis High Schools. For three weekends, the girls played two games each Saturday.
“I loved league and I think it’s going to help me get a head start on this upcoming season,” sophomore Christine Krupa said.
Each game is worth points. For every win, a team earns 3 points, every tie is 1 point and a loss is 0 points.
“I’m super proud of the team no matter what we do, even though we do have some arguments here and there, those help us fix our mistakes and after every game win or lose I was of everyone,” senior Barbra Rueda said.
The girls placed second out of the league. On Nov. 3rd, the girls tied both games with Northside a score of 1-1 and Haltom 2-2. Then on Nov. 11 they tied with Fossil Ridge 1-1 and won against Diamond-Hill 2-1. The girls ended up losing their last game 2-0 against Birdville.
