It’s that time of the year again, you guessed it, it’s basic white girl season. Time to bring out the pumpkin spice lattes, the Claritin and the orange VSCO filters. You’ve seen “Hot Girl Summer” but are you ready for “Sad Girl Fall”? Here are a few ideas and things that can get you more into the fall mood. 

• Buy anything that has the word “Pumpkin Spice” in it

Unless you’ve been living underneath a rock, you know that Pumpkin Spice took the world by storm. From Pumpkin Spice lattes to Pumpkin Spice perfume, it’s the easiest thing to get in the mood during the fall season.

• Wear oversized sweaters 

It’s that time again, we have all been waiting for it. You get to go to the back of your closet and get out the good ol’ beige sweater you’ve been waiting to wear all year. If you don’t have any sweaters, it is time for you to invest. Target and American Eagle have some quirky sweaters, but if you’re cheap like me, head on down to your local thrift store. Then next year you will have a stash of sweaters just waiting for you to wear.

• Watch Halloween movies

Does anyone else remember when we were all kids and we would all watch movies from Monstober on Disney channel? We can all agree that was the time to be alive and thrive. Grab some friends, make some popcorn and put on those pajama pants. Go to channel 290  and you should find Disney Channel, now just wait for the showings of your favorite Monstober movies. Also, you could do it the modern way and find some classic horror movies on Netflix.

•  Decorate your house 

We all know that Walmart started putting up fall decorations the day after Independence Day. If you’re an early decorator then go for it, just here are a few ways to go cheap or go home. Goodwill and Walmart have some pretty cheesy fall decorations but they happen to be in our budget range. Get a janky candle from Walmart, snatch some Mod Podge, and grab some fall glitter. Dowse your candle with Mod Podge and throw it in your orange and red glitter, and here we are a quirky candle for only a few bucks. 

Throughout every season, we secretly wait for the early nights and cold weather. Now the fall time is finally here so it’s time to show off that quirky candle, and your oversized sweater while drinking your pumpkin spice latte.
