Floral Design teacher Ms. Kiggins poses with a student’s Floral Design Certificate.

Everyone loves having a teacher that knows how to balance teaching with having fun in class. Small Animal Management, Equine Science, Principles of Floral Design and Advanced Floral Design teacher, Ms. Jennifer Kiggins, is exactly this. She has such a fun- loving, sarcastic, and dry sense of humor that never fails to make me laugh.

On the actual teaching side, as my floral design teacher, Ms. Kiggins does a great job telling us ways to memorize names and looks of flowers. I never would have thought that I would actually know the difference between so many plants and flowers. Thanks to her, I passed my Texas State Floral Design, or TSFA Certification test with a 97.

My friends and I were planning on randomly barging into Ms. Kiggins classes next year whenever we miss her, but unfortunately, this year will be her last teaching at Azle High School. Next school year she will be starting her new job as Aledo Junior High’s newest agriculture teacher.

I’m very thankful that I got to have Ms. Kiggins as a teacher this year, and for anyone who didn’t get to know her, you missed out. I hope she always remembers me, because I know I’ll never forget her. Thank you for being so great Ms. Kiggins, I wish you the best at Aledo!
