The Unforgettable Tale of Mrs. Escoto and Mrs. Derting, the Heart of the Attendance Office

Vanessa Escoto and Jennifer Derting, attendance clerks here at Azle High School are both experiencing their last year at the high school after 6 years.

Although I have only known Mrs. Escoto and Mrs. Derting for one year, this year has been the best year I have experienced at high school. Through their kindness and hard work, they have taught me to be a more responsible and sincere person.

I have struggled with classwork and showing up to school, but they have pushed me to be a better student by helping me with my schoolwork and showing up on time.

There’s a reason why every student has a smile on their face after they leave the attendance office, it’s the contagious laughter of Mrs. Derting and Mrs. Escoto. Azle needs the happiness they bring.
