Sydney McNulty, a new addition to our teaching staff, is in her sixth year of teaching. An alumnus of Geneva and Texas Wesleyan University she said she “always aimed to become a coach for a high school volleyball team.
McNulty’s journey to our school is one of independence. After graduating, she relocated from Pennsylvania to Texas alone, demonstrating her commitment to pursuing her career goals. Her family remains in Pennsylvania, including her brother who is studying Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shenandoah University, and her younger sister just beginning seventh grade.
In her brief time here, McNulty has already had a notable effect on her classroom. Her students commented on her unique presence, describing her as having an “aura” that creates an interesting and positive learning environment. Outside of coaching, McNulty’s interests reflect her energetic persona. while she’s still exploring her musical tastes, she would choose classical rock as her genre of preference. In addition, she has set an ambitious personal goal for the year: finishing a triathlon.
McNulty defines her lifestyle saying that she has a “personal philosophy of individualism and boldness.”
