Christmas music is the best thing to enjoy during the holidays. Whether you’re at the store or in your car, you hear Christmas music all around you during November and December. So if you’re gonna listen to Christmas music you better be listening to the right songs!

Let’s start with the song pretty much everyone knows during Christmas time. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. This song is the highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 holiday hit in 60 years.

“I listen to this song as soon as November 1st comes around because it just puts me in such a Christmas mood,” junior Brookelyn Smith said.

Another Christmas song that gives more of a pop twist to it is “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson. This song has been very popular in 2019 and 2020. It has an upbeat tune and gives off good Christmas vibes.

“I put on Underneath the Tree every time I get in the car because it automatically puts me in such a good happy mood,” junior Brianna Cochran said.

Of course, everyone loves some classic Christmas songs. “White Christmas”, “Rockin Around the Christmas Tree” and “Holly Jolly Christmas” are all Christmas classics.

“The classic Christmas songs are way better than all those modern pop Christmas songs, everything is better from the old days,” Senior Cody Penwell said.

Christmas songs date back all the way to the 4th century when the first song made was talking about Jesus Christ. To this day people still create and sing Christmas music to get in the Christmas spirit.
