A new addition to the Hornet nation, CTE and AVID teacher Taylor Dean, said that she has called Azle her home ever since her dad moved here when he left the military while she was in middle school. And she came to teach with a specific goal in mind.
“I want to provide a safe space and loving environment for the students,” Dean said. “Knowing some kids don’t have a good home life makes me want to strive to improve for them.”
Dean said that the most important thing to her is family
“My family is very significant to me,” Dean said “We may be small, but we are mighty, and our unit genuinely keeps us together.”
Students describe Dean as a loving, caring person as well as funny and thoughtful. Being an AVID; and CTE teacher while coaching girls’ B-team volleyball and JV girls’ basketball, her kind and loving personality always makes her students and players feel comfortable coming to her.
